The spider on our contact page
That beautiful, large spider stayed a while on the front porch in the fall. It's an argiope aurantia, or "golden orb weaver." A great site for checking out creatures is www.whatsthatbug.com. Look up luna moths there, too. We have those in the spring; we think it's because we have elm trees.
